  • App almost never works

    This app basically never works how it’s supposed to. Every time I use it to try and troubleshoot issues with my connection or connect my extenders or anything, it seeming has no idea what’s going on, and never actually gives me solutions to the issues I’m having. It also knows my connection is working, and knows my extenders are working, and will say “your WiFi connection is working, but your router and extenders are not” and I’m like huh???

    The worst app I have on my phone. Want to individually turn off your kids tv’s access to WiFi? NOPE. This will show that you’ve paused access, but in reality it does nothing and continues to allow access to anything logged in. I’ve called GFiber close to 10 times and have even had techs out to help. NO HELP. So disappointing that google allows this level of sadness come out as a finished product. Maybe they should hire some high schoolers to show them how to make an actual, functional app.

    Sign in does not work! I got a 404! They moved the signin from gfiber.com/login but didnt update the link! And I can’t sign in through the captive portal because signin.gfiber.com doesnt resolve in the captive portal! And even if I sign in in advance on another network it still doesn’t realize I’m signed in in the captive portal! $70/month for unusable garbage!

    The Google Fiber App is not working as it should. It’s not showing my account picture as well as the account details. I cannot see what I owe or anything. It doesn’t want to load up and really slow. Please fix.

    In the app you have to give the chat box your complete and undivided attention or else it will end the chat and hide the conversation you were having. Don’t do anything else while chatting or else!

    The connection and speeds are fine but the app is lacking. Functions are taken away with no warning. Then re appear and then are not working again. Support always states it under maintenance and to wait a few days. They also mention a follow up which has never happened so far.

    Such a horrible app by google’s standards. Unresponsive, doesn’t reflect reality, doesn’t have half the functionality of the web page. Google, do better.

    App doesn’t consistently work. Makes it very difficult when you pause a device and then you can’t unpause. Tried to chat help and they escalated to problem but I haven’t heard back in 4 days.
