  • Your interface has a problem

    I love this service and app. The interface on my iOS phone has had issues for about a month or more. Text is overlapping on the home page. When I want to play todays playlist the play button is hidden by the play all button. Often it won’t work and I have to tap repeatedly. I have rebooted. Twice.

  • Should sync across devices

    I use this app both on my iPhone and my two iPads. I was surprised that the app doesn’t sync across the device. All devices are logged into the same account, but what I have in one devices queue doesn’t show up in the other. That’s not very convenient. Also there’s no handoff between devices. For example, I’m listening to this audio on my phone and I’m switching to my iPad as I settle down at my desk to work. I can’t have them app from the phone hand off to the iPad. This feature can be useful. Please implement both sync across devices and handoff. This app needs to be on the Apple Watch. Useful for listening to when running with the Watch and not the phone.

    I love listening to articles from the New York Times, as well as all of the shows that the podcast and narrative teams make. However, every time I open the app from my old phone or my brand new iPhone, it takes at least 5 to 10 seconds to load and let me do anything on the app.

    ….since a couple updates ago. Freezes, lags, shuts down. Not the go-to it used to be. : ( 4/25, still a buggy mess.

  • Two months of glitches, no help

    My [institution] has group account. They purchase this on behalf of their members. I have had nothing but tech troubles trying to access. NYT is a great news source but they help desk is worthless. I write and or call every day and as of today have access to nothing through no user error but just no one seems to care to fix whatever glitch I fell into. NYT writing is good. The news is a great source but, if this is how they treat the customers and users, they are no longer about truth AT ALL. They literally sold my [institution] a lie if they don’t care about customers actually accessing the content the customers purchased. They are not delivering what they’ve sold. Shame on you, NYT.

  • Unacceptably Buggy/Slow

    Good concept and high quality content but the app is almost unusable slow and buggy these days, crashes 50% of the time and always feels broken.

    I am an audio file bus audio NYT is a saver for me. Generally, I use my eyeballs all day to read, write, math, and watch birds. They are too tired to read fine print, but my ears listen and never tire. And YT allows me to get a perspective on topics of interest while I put around the house doing chores. That is how I keep my mind engaged and accomplish the tasks of daily living. It’s a great way to stay abreast of national and news and keep up with the daily beast.

    Greatest material, wonderful variety!! This relatively unskilled computer-audio user has some difficulties navigating the site. But, it is now taking over as my go-to listening while doing chores, solitary meals, etc. I would miss it a whole lot if it went away.

  • Good content but never works

    This app is so annoying. It stops. Or doesn’t let me rewind if my husband listened first. It doesn’t feel my touch when using. It stops when the phone screen sleeps. Frustrated. Content is great. I want it.
