It’s so helpful to have mini lessons that I can absorb even on brain fog days. I love that it speaks directly to my Long Covid symptoms and I don’t need to translate advice related to pain management. I’m 5 years into my Long Covid journey and this app is reminding me of the basics and introducing new concepts that have helped me reduce symptoms after just a couple weeks. The meditations are my favorite. I’ve found a mid day meditation really slows the amount of energy I burn all afternoon so I’m not exhausted at night. I did not expect to feel so reassured by the messages in the lessons! ❤️

Ah yes, the old pain rehabilitation program motto of "don't think about or talk about your symptoms and it'll get better!" More and more research points to the fact that ME/CFS has a physical origin (not a psychological one) yet programs designed to help continually focus on changing our thoughts as a treatment. While this may be helpful for some, at least as a means of coping with chronic illness, it is not a treatment for ME/CFS and can interfere with treatments and behaviors that have been proven to work, such as pacing. The app says to redirect your thoughts when you think about your symptoms or what behaviors may be making your symptoms worse. This approach makes it difficult to determine and watch for your personal warning signs for PEM and therefore makes pacing - resting when you notice warning signs to stay in your energy envelope - nearly impossible. This app's approach to ME/CFS likely won't make you feel much better but will encourage you to not talk about the symptoms you experience. This is dangerous and harmful.
