This was an amazing and fun game at first. But Niantic’s greed got the best of them and it went down the trash shoot. You can only get 5 potions a day which is fine until you get to the higher level misters that one shot you. Only way to get more is to pay actual money where $20 only can buy you 6 potions which is not worth it. When you get higher up in the ranks you need certain monsters parts that you could rarely find unless you do hunt-a-ton’s which a level 5 monster needs a level 7 weapon to defeat. Also the game making you grind to get anywhere is atrocious. On top of that sometimes the dual blades special doesn’t hit a flying monster even though you are next to them and you could hit them right before you used it. The monsters even got buffed recently where they attack and then attack again before you could even stand back up which isn’t fair. If you have something with a perk of burst, you can’t stop it to dodge, once you are in it you will get hit. They’re are also many other problem. It once was an amazing game but like Pokémon go, it was ruined to the point I don’t even bother playing it.

The drop rates in this game are abysmal when it comes to feeling rewarded. I spent hours upon hours farming 8 star monsters for only to end up with a sense of loss in my time, gas, and efforts. I do not recommend this game to casual players. The reward system only caters to people who can afford to buy the season pass and available gifts. But for free to player gamers it is a living nightmare to manage materials, drop rates, and monsters freezing during a fight only to see the time run out and waste an attempt on marked monsters. I personally give this adaptation of monster hunter a 0.5 out of 5 stars. Other installations of this game have you a better chance at higher materials drops via event quests and farming with friends instead of having to send a QR code.
  • Amazing game with flaws

Game is incredibly fun to play as a veteran of the series. It is held back by two notable flaws. 1) Incredibly short hunt timer forces player to fight aggressively, rather than tactically. Timer should be extended. 2) If your hit points are depleted and have no remaining potions (only 5 daily for free), you have no choice but to wait for them to recover over time up to 30, or to spend money. Potions should either be obtainable in a limited capacity via gameplay, or recovery timer should be shortened to promote continuous engagement.

I have been playing this since the start and it had made massive improvements compared to the previous game (Pokémon go) and I’m hoping they add elder dragons soon it would be so cool and I hope it’s a unquote hunting experience and not just thrown into hunt a tons but good job for making a good monster hunter game and continuously improving on it!!

Hunt-a-thons getting online matchmaking and the selectable monster encounters has made grinding for mats and progressing much easier. This has taken it from “I guess I’ll play this” to a game I actually want to play.

As you can see by the title I must really love the game. And of course I do I love ❤️ that it makes it so you can move around and get fresh air instead of just sitting in a house 🏠 all day. But it does get really hard as you progress through the game. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to pay to get extra things. I think that if you could earn them by like walking or defeating a certain number of monsters 👹 it would make this game 5/5. Other wise I love 💗 the game love naintic!

Just wish you introduce map exploring without moving as well. For example material hunts energy based stages with useful xp points and rewards. Besides whatever we have going on right now ✨

I love this game! I've been playing since the beginning. I love that you can actually fight the monsters. But I would say my favorite thing about this game is that you can mark a monster and fight them later. And the auto marking is also really cool.

The gems sold also includes bonus gems which is a plus but when I purchase it I never receive my bonus gems. I contact the support 2 times explaining it and always get the same answer. “I certainly understand your concern. Just to clarify, the bonus Gems mention are already included in the 5000 Gems bundle. Regardless, thank you for sharing your experience with us.” Its seem they don’t care or want to look into it. How the heck are you suppose to know that I got the bonus gems when you can’t even look into the problem.
