I have been a longtime user of this app and now most recently I am not a fan of all the ads. It makes me not want to use the app as every time I go to look at a post it brings up an ad. Pretty disappointed.
  • Not really “free”

They try and tout this as a mostly free to use app, but the things you can do without the paid subscription are incredibly limited. (You can snap a photo in the free version with life capture, but can’t save it for example). I just feel like $8 a month is steep for what you’re getting, so no thanks.

Don’t even know how to use this app . The UI is confusing. Where can I even edit my photo? I’ve been clicking everything. This feels like a paid version of instagram with extra steps

was a good app but now with ads every time i open the app my music pauses. is it too much to want to scroll vsco without my music pausing every three seconds bc of the ads? even when the volume on the ads is silenced it stops the music. won’t be scrolling that much anymore. also i posted so much trash back in the day and now when i scroll to the bottom of my feed to mass delete stuff it sends me back to the top after each deletion. quite inconvenient and seems like an easy fix. ALSO every single suggested account i can’t click on. like i tap it to see the profile and it doesn’t let me.

This was my favorite social media app. I loved the lack of likes/followers and the ability to just post and edit whatever you wanted on the app. The addition of ads was annoying but tolerable but adding video ads every time you click on a post or YOUR OWN posts was ridiculous. Deleted the app immediately.

VSCO used to be my goto and favorite app because of its difference compared to all the other social medias. Ad free for free users, no comments, or constantly pushing subscriptions. Other the years the platform has changed and it’s disappointing. It’s a completely different experience than before. But! it’s okay because you can turn off discussions on your posts and if you don’t want adds you can pay for premium… The amount of ads really make the quality of VSCO feel like a cheap mobile game, and it’s expected to be hold a community of creators, clients, artists, etc? The actually professional grab it had before is lost now, contrary to what VSCO’s team has been saying. I get the company has to make income somehow but I was just hoping they’d stay true to their reputation. A part of me really hopes they start to move back in the right direction, but with where’s it’s been going I’m going to have to transition to another app :(

used this for free for years and loved it. when they changed to subscription based a few years ago i thought the price was reasonable so i bought it for a year, but now its $60 a year? that’s actually insane for casual use. i get many use it professionally but its now rendered useless for anyone who doesn’t make money of off photography. of course they had to take away all the popular filters for free users (like C1). subscription based services are out of control. they might as well make it a paid app instead of it being “free” considering all the free filters are garbage and you can do it all on your phone’s camera settings anyways.

I’ve been using vsco since 2016. At first, there was no payments at all, use of all tools when editing, and no ads. It was my favorite social media app for years. Within the last couple years they added premium accounts for payment. At first the price wasn’t too bad so I paid it since I loved the app. Now, the premium account price is so ridiculously high, you can’t use most editing features without it, and there’s ads. At first the ads weren’t too bad popping up in your feed every now and then. However, within the last couple weeks they added SO MANY ads. At this point I’m considering not even using the app anymore because of how often there’s pop up ads. Please change this or risk losing thousands of users.
