  • Working Very Well on iPAD

I used to get very frustrated when I viewed the pages on my iPhone or galaxy tablet. But now that I’m using a newer iPad, everything is clearer and the menus of content are easier to navigate.
  • Even worse than before

Just when you think it couldn't get any worse, it gets worse. Still, as bad as it is, it is not as bad as it's reporting.
  • Login screen endlessly reloads

Despite being a paying subscriber ($35/month), I am unable to access content because I am taken back to the login screen each time I try to sign in with verified credentials. Once I fell for the trap of “renewing access” and wound up with two paid subscriptions. Luckily I got wise to that and killed the duplicate subscription so I am no longer being charged $70 a month for news I can’t read. I am all for supporting local journalism, but maybe it’s time to go back to a hard copy newspaper because this app is simply unusable and, despite poor reviews going back a few years now, the company seems uninterested in fixing the app or retaining subscribers. Is this how local journalism dies in the 21st century?

The update to the app now does not allow the sign in page to work. Please fix it. I regret updating because I cannot access the content.

Supporting our local news source is important for our community. The Tribune does an excellent job providing news both local and global. The app provides all the news I need to feel current on our communities concerns, challenges and celebrations.
  • Can’t stay on article

I’d love to support the Tribune, but I’m probably a few days away from canceling my digital subscription. The phone app is how I access the Tribune. When I click on an article, I have about 2-3 seconds before it automatically transports me back to the home page. I can’t read anything! I was advised to delete and reinstall the app, which I did - no improvement. Come on people, make it better.
  • Plagiarizing others investigative work

Skimming the outline of stories,as barley even stepping foot on the curb let alone walking the sidewalk leading to where a story may led their Inquisitive nose, seems their legmen much rather walk the easy streets, never wanting to ruffle feathers of those pulling the strings controlling the show. If considering thought of delivery to their publications, first consider the cost of what their delivering. Recently $85.00 per month, void Saturday paper, currently raised to $132.89, As in anything, even with the negative is the positive, the editorials, thoughts, and opinions of others helps keep the world spinning, too the cartoons, and, yes perhaps help to relax while sitting, reading in our favorite reading room.
  • Frustrating experience

App update took three days to sign in, three talks with customer service before I could read the new, downsized e-edition. 1-Star for the whole situation. Had no problem with the app before this revision. Appreciate the developer response.

I’ve been sorely disappointed in both the digital user experience and the content of the paper. Cal Poly’s university newspaper has much more journalistic integrity than the slo tribune. Not worth it.
