  • Fun but Blizzard never learns

The game itself is fun but the grind requirements are absurd and shows Blizzard has learned nothing from the last several years and still disrespects the time of its players. Long level up requirements like this are designed to make store purchases more appealing thus valuing Blizzard executives over the customer.

Said i would add stars if you improved stability. Updated app. Somehow you made it crash every game now instead of every 4th/5th. Cant even play darkmoon event because it crashes before i can even finish one quest? Garbage. No other game on my phone acts like this hot mess…
  • Huge potential spoiled by notorious Blizzard issues. Unplayable in its current state.

Warcraft Rumble is the long-awaited Warcraft-themed mobile game that has been in development - in one form or another - for years. After speculation and anticipation, Warcraft Rumble released in 2023. How it delivers: Warcraft Rumble has impressive visuals, and unique gameplay when compared to its tower defense-style contemporaries. While the game feels plays like tower defense, it looks and plays like an action RPG. Those familiar with the Warcraft universe will be pleased to see many notable characters from the series make appearances, either as playable allies or enemies on the battlefield. Notably, while Warcraft Rumble maintains pay-to-win features in-line with virtually every Blizzard title, the purchase of in-game currency only allows players the chance of progression rather than progression outright, which provides some parity to the experience. Where it falls short: As is the case with many Blizzard titles, balancing is an issue. Though perhaps this was to be expected of Warcraft Rumble, the player will undoubtedly run into balancing issues that render the game nearly unplayable and minimally enjoyable. In-line with their practices in other progression-based Blizzard titles like World of Warcraft, there are many time-wasting systems implemented to keep players attention for longer periods of time. Warcraft Rumble apparently implements such a tactic with a 60/40 enemy AI advantage, making it so that some battles may require dozens or hundreds of attempts, several real life hours, and expense of in-game currency. If a player requires 100 attempts to achieve 1 win, they are relying on mathematically improbable odds to progress their game, rather than skill or strategy. Systems such as these are unfortunately synonymous with Blizzard games, and nearly all of them suffer from them, and in some cases irreparably. How it can improve: Blizzard should implement a more streamlined-approach to leveling player characters for Warcraft Rumble. The 60/40 enemy advantage should be eliminated entirely, or at least in the earlier stages of the game, to make it more approachable to new players. This game is not realistically playable or enjoyable for long periods of time, as of the current state. Additionally, dungeons require players to use certain team leaders, meaning that their favorite or primary teams may not be able to participate in dungeons. This is completely tedious and inconducive to strategy, and this requirement should be dropped. In World of Warcraft - another Blizzard game that features dungeons - there is no such requirement that a certain type of character - Warrior, Mage, Blood Elf, Blacksmith, etc... - cannot enter a dungeon. This should be the same in Warcraft Rumble, which draws obvious influence from World of Warcraft. Otherwise, do not call that feature "dungeons" and opt for a different terminology. Overall: Warcraft Rumble has potential, but falls short for long-term playability. Balancing issues plague the gameplay, making longterm progression highly improbable for most players. Progression is heavily luck-based in the current form. The game also loses credibility for pay-to-win features.

DO NOT PLAY! Predatory shop! Do you want to spend $1k to play a game? You do? Oh, then be sure your friends want to spend $1K too, otherwise you won’t be able to compete the game. Only a terrible company like Blizzard can make such poor decisions & still be around.

Was fun in the beginning but had more quickly become irritating. The game has been consistently lagging for the past two days and the quests that players are allowed to play in order to level up minis is now capped at 20 per day. That might not be so bad if the about of experience earned from a quest was much more than a tiny bit that will take you forever to get your units levels up enough to really stand up against some of the higher levels and those players that “buy” their way to the top. This game is good for about a week or two at best.
