  • So...much...spam.

The app asks for a phone number during sign-up, which wasn't a big deal since so many apps do to create accounts. But ever since filling it out, I've received text messages almost every day from these people, and never has one had an unsubscribe feature. I only used the app once, like a month ago, and I'm still getting them. I've blocked the number, but they use new numbers. They've called me from local numbers, and I've told them I'm not interested in paying for their classes. But they keep reaching out.
  • “Free” LSAT test only, crazy prices

Do yourself a favor and just dish out the $100 to LSAC to take the practice tests on Lawhub. It’s the same system you’ll use for the actual test. $10 for each practice test?? Really?? Or hundreds for like 10 tests? Only the LSAT test that’s free everywhere (73 I think?) is available for practice on this app without shelling out big bucks. I thought I’d get an app to do some practice questions in down time while out and about. These prices are absolute crap. It’s this sort of business that helps perpetuate inequities in admissions. 🤦‍♀️ these guys didn’t invent the system, but they’re sure milking it.

Please do not waste your time and money with this company. The service they provided did not help me whatsoever and they offered no alternative solutions or compensation. What a waste of $1,500! Don’t make my mistake!!!
  • DO NOT EVER USE OR BUY!!!

Do not EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER spend a cent on this terrible app or this garbage company!!! This app chronically malfunctions IN THE MIDDLE of practice tests. You’ll expend precious time and energy on a Logical Reasoning section, only to find that the passage of your next Reading Comprehension or the rules of your next Logic Games section WON’T LOAD and crashes your app when you reboot it. Are you kidding me?? Not only that, but this unethical company also takes your contact information and spams you with annoying texts or calls that are presumably intended to get you to spend more money. Are you [expletive]ing kidding me? This company purports itself to be experts on the new digital LSAT and I initially thought it would be an excellent resource to get used to taking the test on a tablet. Yeah...I thought wrong. Apparently the experts don’t know that reliance on practice tests that only load 25% of the way actually hinders your ability to succeed on this test hahahahahha. TestMax, I want a full refund for the $100+ I wasted on these lousy “resources.” And to all future lawyers out there...save your money for something that actually loads!!!
  • Bombarded with texts/emails!

I literally just downloaded this app, began taking a practice test and receive three text messages in a 10 minute time span. Then I just check my email and they’ve sent me five emails already! I understand it’s meant to inform you about resources available but it’s plain obnoxious. How the hell am I supposed to simulate an actual test when my phone is being blown up from them? I’m not even interested in continuing to use the app just based on that alone. Stop spamming!

Don’t bother with this one, the other one star reviews are accurate not consistent for LSAT prep.
  • Horrible don’t waste money

I bought one test in the app and tried to take it, pressed back button and it froze the timer and so u can’t go back and do the rest of the test w the timer, tests look NOTHING like the ones on real digital lsat, question goes to next question immediately after you select an answer choice. Not worth the money, when I finally finished my sections untimed since timer didn’t save, and clicked to review, half the questions didn’t show up to review. Only showed 15 questions in the section when there are 25. Waste of time and money.
  • App has many glitches and doesn’t work, do not buy

After purchasing a bundle of their digital tests, so far out of the 5 I’ve taken, 4 have had serious glitches in them. It skips sections and then at the end doesn’t calculate your score for you and doesn’t show you any of the analytics that it should, like how long you took to answer each question. Also doesn’t time you on the last section you do instead you have to time yourself. They know about the glitches but I still can’t get even a partial refund. Even worse is the glitch happens after you’ve already done 2 sections, so you’ve already wasted one hour before you know it’s a glitchy one. Do yourself a favor and use Khan Academy or another test prep site that actually works.
  • Login Bug

The ‘password’ field is glitched, in the sense that it thinks there’s an extra space or something when there isn’t. It’s impossible to log-in, even with correct username and password. Hopefully this is fixed soon considered the next test is in a month.
  • Freezes & Crashes

This app is essentially an extension of the original LSAT Max app without the prep course—simply offering exams. Only difference is that this one has a tendency to freeze or crash right after opening. I think they rushed a bit in putting it out in time before the first all-digital LSAT in September.
