    Firstly, the gameplay is great. Combat mechanics are fun, having to change up both gear and strategy frequently makes an interesting yet appealing experience. Side quests, mission, caves, portal event, hunts, etc. are also great time dumps when you’re deviating from the main progression. However, the game has one serious flaw that’s preventing me from wanting to continue playing, and that’s the cooldown period of items in ALL obtainable areas. For example, if you upgrade all of your gear to purple/gold tier (highest two tiers), each 10 equipment levels requires you to complete a “rank up” feature. After level 30 or so, the quantity of one of these items is 8 per piece of gear per rank up, but you can only obtain maybe 20 or so total from all available sources per week, meaning you can only rank up 2 items per week even when including in-app purchases. This halts main progression entirely, as it’s not possible to progress without full / near full sets of equipment ranked/leveled up, and this isn’t including the fact that you need to have varying sets of gear specific to enemy types in order to defeat them. This means that you could go 3-4 weeks per set of gear you’re leveling in order to complete only a few main conquest progressions. There is nearly no benefit of daily gameplay because you cannot advance in any area without said gear. There was another review that said that this type of delay gives a feel that “the developers make it so you almost don’t want to play their game”, and if this does not change, I would be inclined to agree.

    Edited* great game been having a blast with it gave it another go after my initial review and a response from the devs. Usually not one for mobile games but this one has certainly grabbed my attention!

    Game is very fun. Expansion update is very bad. No access to exp unless you get to new content. Can’t get to new content because of gear leveling requirements. The last zone before the update was nerfed to allow progression, but gear leveling reqs were kept the same barring anyone from actually progressing in the game. Newest update is a money grab making it very difficult to get to progression without forcing in game purchases. Before this update, it was very reasonable to level without in game purchases. Bad update.

    Game locks up EVERYTIME it informs me I can change difficulty levels. Go to help to report asks for user id, sends you to where to find it, find the game you’re playing and end up back at App Store…

    This game is great, way better than all the games on the best apps lists. The game is easy to learn, but gets more difficult at a good pace. The battles are simplistic and fun, a creative take on turn based battles with beautiful graphics and amazing music. I love it. The only thing is the energy system. You need energy to enter a battle, so naturally if you play a lot, you will run out of energy and will be unable to play as it charges up. This limits how much you can play, but that’s the only grievance. Love this game! Can’t wait until the developer makes more games like this.
