    Audiobooks from the library are either CDs full of MP3s, or plain audio CDs. Sure would be nice if iTunes didn't mix them into your music library when ripping them. Audiobook Builder to the rescue! Easy, smooth, reliable. I can even group the tracks how I want, if they don't line up with book chapters in a good way. Tiny, tiny annoyance - it's not a true NSDocument-based app, and so can only have one project open at a time. Not a huge deal. Well worth the modest price.

  • Don't Honor Licenses When Upgrading Versions

    I purchased an Audiobook Builder 1 license which I've come to find out is no longer available on the App Store. I obviously found v2 but the software doesn't honor the original license. I downloaded v2 to see what's new to warrant the new license fee and I can't find any new features. I don't trust this developer.

    All I needed was a simple app that merged mp3 files from audiobooks into one mp3. It does that and so many other things I didnt think I wanted. Highly recommended!

    I cant say enough great things about his app. Is has saved both my money and sanity. I drive alot and the sheer quantity of audiobooks I go through would break the bank so it is perfect borrowing CDs form the library and using this app to put them into itunes so they can be accessed from anywhereon any devic.. The pages are bookmarked and they stay in a nice book format with a cover art you choose. So gald I have this app.

    This is a really great app for converting audio CDs to digital format. There's some great attention to detail such as key shortcuts for everything, so you can chew through the process quickly.

    However lacking certain features. It would be nice to give options overriding the automatic splitting of m4b files. These limitations do not apply to all systems or players, especially in 2023.

    It does exactly what it says it will do. I have a handful of Audiobooks in mp3 format. Itunes likes to put it in Music when I try to sync my iPad. THis app let me recompile the audiobook in a different format that itunes likes. Now it shows up AS AN AUDIOBOOK. My Musicis just music, andthat’s music to my ears.

    This is the best audiofile compiler/converter I could find for MacOS. It performs as advertized w/o any hickups. The only problem, so to speak, is that the app could do with more features for the pricetag. It's a simple app that performs an important task, but for $10 I would hope for additional features like more control over metadata, an audiofile editor, or even more conversion options (such as HEIC to JPEG, etc). As it stands, this is the best app on the market for what it does.
