Not very user friendly and foods choices in the app to track aren’t correct macros or serving sizes

My problem is not hitting my macros or knowing what they should be. My issue is creating meals that hit those macros. Otherwise I’m bouncing back and forth trying to create a meal plan that takes FOREVER!! Just create a menu based on the specific macros and I’ll get the ingredients and then eat them. Is it that hard? I’m so ANNOYED!!
  • Pretty effective app

To start out I thought the app was a waste until I educated myself further. If you truly stick to the single ingredient foods they have loaded you can make some serious gains. The healthy way

  • Accurate but room for growth

I really appreciate how accurate this app is in being able to portion out your food. Giving you exact grams, etc. of both raw and cooked preparation. The library of foods is not vast so adding in foods outside of the recommended foods can be difficult. But I think that might also be helpful to start folks eating the recommended foods more often, so I do understand. Where I think it could grow the most is to be more flexible with both the goal, and monitoring and tracking that goal. I’m a pretty athletic individual looking at shedding a few pounds for the running season. I have converted over 3 1/2 pounds of my bodyweight into muscle and reduced my body fat percentage, almost 4% in the first four weeks, but my weight has not changed a lot and so this app keeps telling me I need to eat less and less. I’m putting in nearly 21,000 - 30,000 steps a day so it’s not like I don’t move. I would also appreciate flexibility in the macro nutrient balance. Obviously, I am a huge fan of carbohydrates being a runner, but looking at actually reducing my weight, I want to switch to a low-carb diet for the last four weeks of my plan and there is really no way to do that without forcing a lot of math into the system, and trying to manipulate the caloric intake to represent the macros that I would rather have. Also, it would be really helpful to understand what the caloric intake of the day actually is, and individual value of foods being entered. I don’t like only knowing the grams of macro nutrient, understanding how many calories those grams equal and how many grams of other things are in that food type; as obviously meats have protein and fat, and even breads and pastas can have fats and proteins in addition to carbohydrate. I was going to hang onto the app for my whole diet plan, but I might drop it next month just because it doesn’t have that low-carb option, and honestly if I wasn’t a personal trainer, I wouldn’t know as much about how my body is actually changing and so I’d be very discouraged knowing that I haven’t actually lost a pound, basically.

I am in law school right now with no time to track or adjust my macros. This app takes out of my hands, and as a result i have lost 15 lbs of fat in two months!!!
