It’s been 4 years, please add the option to play music from Spotify while studying on this app. The app forces any music I play to stop playing. It’s frustrating. Not everyone likes to study in total silence.

This app is superb in terms of its development and design. The recordings and button presses have a nice sound that makes the app feel good to use. However, I do feel that so far that something is lacking. I’m doing the Japanese course. I feel as though there isn’t a lot of reinforcement compared to Duolingo unless you actively do the reviews in the review tab.

I have only the vaguest memory of having purchased a lifetime subscription to LingoDeer back in the mists of time, but boy am I glad I did. Evidently I wasn't bound and determined to follow through with my studies because I forgot I had LingoDeer and certainly forgot I had a lifetime subscription. But now I've resumed my Thai language studies and while I've only just begun using LingoDeer for Thai, I'm loving it. I decided to be brave and turn off the Romanized phonetics, and that's causing me to actually learn some Thai letters, which nothing has really done for me before quite the same way (and I've used many other apps to study Thai). The LingoDeer method seems to have similarities to the way I learned to read my native language, from my mother reading to me and answering my questions about which words were which. And I find it fun as well (like I did my mother reading to me when I was very young). I'm not far into my course of study so I can't say a whole lot more about the app, but I definitely do recommend giving it a look if you want to learn any language it offers.

It’s really helping! I’m learning tons- However I wish you didn’t need to pay for it. I’m trying to learn for musician reasons, but as a student I’m trying not to pay for anything- Overall good app tho!
  • Deceptive subscription policy

When I logged into the app it clearly said I had the “free version” under my subscription type but I was charged a renewal fee. LingoDeer allows multiple accounts under the same email address so even though I thought I had canceled (because it said I had the free version) I had another account that was still active. They refused to refund me even after I sent screen shots showing my membership type said free. If you still want to buy this app use a *credit card* so you can do a charge back if you are deceptively charged. They told me they don’t offer ANY refunds for their subscription. For any reason.

Whenever I got something right, it made me feel like I was like really good at something. This app is really good and helped me learn how to speak Japanese I really like it. I just do not like it but I really love it now I think everyone should at least try if they’re learning a new language specifically an Asian one that they should. Because it’s really fun!

Best app I’ve used to help me learn how to read Thai. Everything from understanding the tones to grammar and alphabet. I started to be able to read within a couple months
