Description

**OurPact Jr. is the companion app for devices paired to OurPact Parent accounts.** Do not install on parent devices. Install OurPact Jr. on your devices you wish to manage. If you have an OurPact Parent account you can download OurPact Jr. on devices paired to your account. OurPact Jr. is a portal for users on a paired device to view their screen time limitations and schedules. With OurPact Jr. a user is able to see the current status of their screen time limitations. For instance, they can see whether they are currently granted or blocked. They'll also be able to see the duration of their block or when they will have access to their device later. OurPact Jr. users can also view not only their daily screen time schedules, but weekly schedules. By tapping into the schedules view, they can see what schedules have been created for that given day and later schedules created throughout the week.

  • Plz don’t get this for ur kid

If you’re a parent reading this, hear me out. I completely understand why you would want to do this but it doesn’t help the way you think. If this app blocks half of the things you can do on your phone, there’s no point in even having one. I can understand if both the parents and the kids agree on this to keep them together as a stronger family but 90% of the time, parents just download this without approval of the child. The definition of a pact is a formal agreement between two parties. This is fostering bad habits with your children if you do this without their consent. Why? Because it makes your children think you hate them, this app just makes your kids look forward to moving out and it makes them not like you. Although it may not seem like your kid has grudges against you for this, trust me they do. This app fosters bad habits such as keeping secrets from your parents, it encourages them being able to sneak around your controls and makes them resent you even more. I can understand if you just want a time limit on your kids apps so they don’t spend all day on their phone (there’s an app that Apple makes for that btw) but this makes your child have mixed emotions around you. I know that a parent probably will not see this but if you can get one thing out of this, it is that this harms your relationship with your child and if you’re doing this for punishment it’s not worth losing the love of your kid. I probably will not have to deal with this much longer because I have faith that my parents will see the flaws in this app and will apologize. TLDR: don’t get this for your kid because it does more harm than good to your relationship with them. God bless ❤️

I literally have 6 apps I can use, only free time is the weekends, and my iPad is just boring at this point. Why even buy your kids a device if you have this thing on?😕

i swear this is the worst invasion of privacy, i literally can’t talk to my friends about anything and vice versa without my parents knowing and honestly i can’t wait to just buy my own phone so i can get rid of this godforsaken app. if you’re a parent who wants to use this, PLEASE reconsider. there is no valid excuse to install this horrible invasion of privacy

Be careful when choosing which apps to disable because they can completely log you out
  • App Jumbling

I wouldn’t mind this app but everytime I lock it for my kids and access is granted again, their apps are either jumbled up or they’re unable to still see any apps and their access isn’t granted although that option is disabled. It’s very frustrating at times.
  • Good Idea, Bad Outcome

I deeply hate OurPact for the way it is, but I see how it can help this younger gen. to staying focused with other things. But I feel like they should give us a LOT more freedom, because literally nothing has freedom. Parents are allowed to look at EVERYTHING you even see, which is a little bad because it teaches adults to not loosen on children and let their wings fly. This app is bad, but it is a Good Idea. Overall, Fix the app, just fix everything. If you say, “This doesn’t need to be fixed” it needs to be fixed. Also anyone here in 2024? I sure hope not!

I’ve just got this app (yes I am I teen) and it is absolutely horrible. So horrible in fact that I’m writing a review about it in hopes that no other children will have to experience this. OurPact has absolutely 0 privacy and is just super glitchy all the time. I WOULD NOT recommend at all to anyone. It’s also very very hard to set up and is extremely not user friendly. If I could give this a 0 star I would.
