  • Great for free users! But premium isn’t worth it

    This app is amazing to preface, but theres some issues with it. Now heres the great things about it: For free users I have experimented with around 5 competitor apps and songshift by far has the best song limit. 200 is amazing compared to other apps, most only allowing 20-50 per shift. The level of control is amazing by allowing the user to decide where specifically the songs to go, creating new playlists and having the ability to change failed songs. Heres my issue with it though, it doesnt have a lot going for it other than it’s 200 free song shifts. It’s premium IS cheap.. 6$ a month but thats PER month. Other competitors offer the same/ BETTER services for the exact thing for 2$ as a one time fee. You pay that 2$ and it’s done. Those apps work way better (with premium) than this one. Not to mention this app previously had NO limit for songs when shifting, I had shifted a 600 song playlist for free no problem and they took that away. The minute they changed it to 200 I almost swapped. So if they keep lowering that then this app literally has nothing appealing. It’s only appeal honestly is it’s free version of the app, because it is outweighed by literally every competitor. TLDR: If you want a good app to shift some playlists and don’t wanna spend money, then this is the app. But if you’re willing to fork over like 3-5 bucks then PLEASE Invest in something else

    I was worried I was going to provide login credentials and that was not the case. So easy moving from Spotify to Apple Music. Awesome experience!

    It’s an ok app for getting your playlists transferred. I’m moving from android/google and YT Music to the Apple eco-system and have a ton of play lists. The success rate for finding a song match is VERY VERY low. I’d say for a playlist of a 100 songs I’m lucky if it found 5-8 matches. Which means I’m having to manually match 92-95songs FOR EACH PLAYLIST!! If I’d of know how inaccurate it was going to be I’d of saved the money and just recreated each playlist by hand since that’s pretty much what I’m doing anyway because the steps to manually find a match are to type the name of the artist or song, find it and then add it. Yeah…that’s called creating a playlist. 🤦‍♂️

    This is one of the few apps I truly have fallen in love with over the years and kept despite hundreds of other that come and go. In the days, where all of my friends had different services than myself, and try to keep up with playlists in different music apps, this app truly saved countless hours of frustration for me! I am more of an Apple Music than Spotify guy, but since all my friends have Spotify and I use it to find new music, this app has made it simple to be a 2-service music lover. When I update a playlist (or 10) on Spotify, this app will sync it easily enough to Apple Music for me. The quality of Apple Music is better in my car, so it’s necessary for me to easily enough sync hundreds of playlists in a moment. It brought me to tears the first time I accomplished this in a matter of minutes and I continue still 3 years later to use it weekly. I also am a huge fan of “one flat lifetime price” apps, even if they’re higher than subscription prices, due to budget and I feel like I’m able to fund developers outright. Thank you, developers!!!

    I’ve been trying to use this app for over a week. It does not do what it says it will do (share playlists). I reached out to their “support” over a week ago, and they still have not even responded. Total waste of time/money. I’ll have to find a WORKING solution !

    i was hesitant on using any app that i would have to put my information in but i did research and everyone who has used this app said it would be great. so i did. this is the best app ive ever downloaded on my phone. its a life saver because i had to get all my music from apple music to spotify because im switching over and this really saved me a lot of trouble. thank you to whoever made this lol

  • Underwhelming To Say the Least

    To pay to use their premium service for it to not correctly import the songs you want (which is the whole point of the app) is atrocious. I wanted to switch from Apple Music to Spotify and saw Song Shift has a solution. I reluctantly paid for their pro version in hopes it would at least be quick and hassle free. My guess is that out of the >2,000 songs I have, about 60%-70% transferred fine. The remaining songs were different i.e. from a random Spotify made album versus the band/group’s album causing the album covers to change, live versions when I didn’t want them or vice versa, or taking the name of a song I had and confusing it with a different song with the same name. There should not be this much inconsistency when paying money for this service. I would recommend going on your computer and downloading your songs one-by-one versus using this app. At least that way you’ll get exactly what you want.
