  • The Outlook I love

I recently switched from the new outlook to the old one and am as happy as can be. The old format is3 columns 1 eith function icons, 1 with email title ans hint, and 1, the best shows most of the selected email so i can easily evaluate it to see if i want to fully open it, or move on. The New format has the selected email below the inventory and only uses about 10% of the screen as a preview. You have to do a lot of clicking and scrolling to see what the old gives you for nothing.

Microsoft has not updated, as promised. Remains an unmitigated disaster.

Will not install properly on on my Mac. Extremely hard to find an answer that works and time consuming.
  • Calendar is frustrating

I nearly prefer using the macOS app over Outlook on my PC, with one major exception: Calendar scheduling. Changing an end time will automatically change the start time, so you have to fight the app for a while, changing the start and end times until you finally get the time you want. Scheduling a recurring appointment is also more difficult, as certain recurrance options are not even available. (For example, a daily recurrance on weekdays only.) Wish they would improve the calendar; then I would really appreciate this app.
  • It's ok.

I had Windows for many years, there were so many things I was able to do, but ended up switching to Apple as it made more sense to sync with all my Apple products. What made it even more easy when making the switch was the fact that I could purchase Windows Office. Having Word, PowerPoint and Excel was crucial. I had worked with the similar features for apple and I did not like them. That I was not going to give it up. Now I am a bit disappointed when it comes to Outlook. There are a few things that aren't available any longer and it is driving me crazy! They disabled the ability to form groups within your contacts. I have been using the Mail app but that does not allow you to create groups either. Add to the fact, whenever I am sending attachments, some can't even view correctly, hence started using Outlook. It is great that you can find synonyms right on the email. You can't do that with the Mail app. Still, it would be great if they could bring that feature back.
