I’m done.

The new restrictions on storage and extra fees to increase storage have sent me to Pix-Star for my new frame. Losing me as a customer may free up some space for your other customers since storage space is so hard for you to come by.
Bait and Switch

Purchased in 2022 for the sole purpose of sharing Google photo album with Grandparents. It worked great for 3 years until 2025 when Nixplay changed their terms of service to lock most features behind a paid subscription; including Google photos and Dropbox integration.
This company has been reported to the better business bureau, and is now subject to a class action lawsuit. Avoid all products from this company unless you enjoy being ripped off.
Customer service

I had a frame for at least 10 years that stopped working after the frame had reached its capacity and nixplay had started an annual plan to increase photo storage. Customer service tried its best to restart my frame but to no avail. I then suggested they send me a new frame since it was working before the rate increase we talked about it and they decided to send a new frame. That is what customer service is all about and I applaud their commitment to the customer. I will recommend nixplay frames and service to anyone who asks about my frame that I love.
Easy to use and great customer support

I bought a NixPlay frame years ago and really liked it but I’m so happy I upgraded to a 15.6 inch one as the image quality is superior and it allows videos. I have a premium membership, which I think is a deal, because it gives me the versatility to create separate albums, and showing two minute videos. I couldn’t be more happy. I like to give them as gifts. I’m also thrilled that I can cast my albums it onto my TV. At present the TV will not run slide show videos that are beyond five seconds. I hope that, one day in the future, this will be possible. It’s a great product and customer service has always been incredibly quick in answering my questions.
Can’t upload directly from photos app

When I try to use the share sheet to send a photo to the Nixplay app, every single time it tells me that the photo is too large. I then have to open the Nixplay app and add the photo directly. Cumbersome process. Needs to be fixed. I don’t love that the company decided to start making users pay repeatedly to maintain service (essentially renting the frames). The very least they could do with that windfall of money is improve the app so it works smoothly.
How can you charge

I really love the picture frame, however, I have multiple issues with Nixplay. First off, it went from being completely free, to now you have to pay for a subscription if you want unlimited photos and videos to be added. OK fine, however, I have so many issues with the app that I would never even fathom paying for a subscription. First of all, the photos and videos I have uploaded onto the app, don’t all make full rotations on the picture frame. I see some photos all the time and some photos, I forgot that I even uploaded into the albums until go to upload more and see them in there. Second of all, anytime I go to open the albums, every single picture is grayed out, so I can’t even tell what photos are in there versus what is not until I let it sit open for like 10 minutes. Like why??? Third off, now there are restrictions on what kinds of photos I upload. I noticed that any pictures I edit on my photos app (iPhone) can’t upload anymore because of the “size”. Please explain how that makes sense. I’m not resizing the photos, just adjusting things like brightness, contrast, etc. And fourth of all, the app crashes EVERY single time I use it. I would never purchase this product again knowing what I do now. Seriously, there are other devices and apps out there and I encourage you to try those rather than this.
Absolute rubbish app

I bought the frame for my parents 4 years ago. Everyone loved it! They got so many pictures of my kids delivered straight to them! And now they changed everything and made it so that I, the person who doesn’t even own a frame, have to pay YEARLY just to SEND pictures!! And not only that, but since they changed this, they went ahead and “locked” a whole bunch of photos that were already in their frame. Just at random. Terrible company. Do yourself a favor and purchase a frame from a different brand because these people are grimy.
Nickel and dime existing customers

Don’t waste your time buying a Nixplay frame. What used to be a full featured product has slowly lost functionality unless users pay for what used to be free features. I will never buy another Nixplay product, nor will I ever upgrade.
The worst

Used to be a good company, but they feel they can gouge loyal customers by forcing subscriptions and locking their photos from being added to the frame. App is completely pointless as it doesn't let you access the few photos they let you keep for free and add them to the frame. I literally just unplugged it because it would only show a blank screen.
