Description

High standards? Keep them that way. The League is a dating community designed for the overly ambitious that know what they want & refuse to settle. While some may call us exclusive or elite, in reality, we just have standards for entry - unlike every other dating app out there. We believe 3 quality matches are better than 100 bad profiles. Say goodbye to endless swiping, and hello to smart, sexy, and successful matches. While your mom may call you picky, we call you self-aware. You can use The League for free as a Guest, or you can become a Member by purchasing a subscription. Membership doubles your matches and supports our mission (bit.ly/leaguemission) to foster equal relationships across the globe. Our success stories are frequently featured in the New York Times Wedding Section, see them at theleague.com/love Depending on what term you choose, your Membership will last for 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months, and automatically renew at those intervals from the point of purchase onward. If you wish to cancel your membership before it renews, you must do so at least 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and will be renewed at the same price the next term. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase. The fact u have to wait like months or even years to get allowed into the “league”. Is pretty absurd. Oh unless u pay a fee of $99 dollars a week. Like money can grow on trees. Sorry I would like to my perfect match. And the women they do show u. They can’t see u unless u are in the league so the app just takes up space. Bc u can only do stuff like link your accounts to make yourself look cooler. Tbh this is the kind of app u remove and check back in a few years to see u have been accepted. Like what are they approving 1-3 profiles a day 😂. And I dropped from 15,000-> 15,300 in 20 minutes. Also I sat in live chat for like 30 minutes and don’t get a single date

App is ridiculous and a majority of profiles are fake. Big waste of money! Very few members and maybe a handful are real. I don’t even want to give it one star!

It shows the same men all the time, and doesn’t put anything in the profile set up that actually encourages people to say something relevant or helpful about themselves so of course most men write nothing, like on tinder. The “concierge” ignores messages. So far I see nothing that could compel a woman to pay to upgrade.
  • Don’t even bother it’s just another scam

I received an “invitation” to download this app. Once I got in I was told I’m “waitlisted” along with hundreds of thousands of other users waiting to get in. Of course you can pay to move up in line but none of these dating apps have ever shown me a value worth paying for. They are all 80% fake Russian and Chinese scammer profiles and I’m sure this one is no different. Another option to move up in line is to give them all of your social media profile information. No, I’m opening myself up to you selling my personal information. I immediately deleted the app.
  • Wildly outdated

A waitlist when there are no extra features that a regular dating app doesn’t have, if anything it has less options available and limited characters everywhere. The app is only for 100% straight people, 0 options for anyone that isn’t gender conforming or that is LGBTQ+. You cannot view other women if you’re a woman and vice versa. It’s 2023. No ability to sort users by age, despite it being labeled as a “basic feature” that doesn’t require payment to set preferences for, it still prompts you to pay for a membership. I am not interested in people, especially men, that are under 35. Yet I keep being shown boys that are under 30. I really don’t care what I look like or if I look younger, I don’t want to date someone young and just want the ability to select the age range of 40-50. Frustrating. You can’t even fill your own options for certain things, it suggests you fill in a “goal”, but gives a list of ludicrous and honestly not even funny joke “goals” that are frankly moronic. Yeah I totally want to sort my dating options by our shared similar goal of “plunging in ice water like that dude in Europe bruh”. Are y’all freaking serious? The only way to add your alumni is by linking a crappy LinkedIn account. Not only do I not like that platform/site and don’t wish to use it, I don’t want people I’m not even necessarily interested in or even those I am knowing every iota about the school I went to and what for until I am comfortable discussing personal details like that. The other option is to use your college email. I haven’t logged into that in a literal decade and don’t even remember what my login info would be. Maybe if you’re employed by a uni or just graduated that would be useful, but come on. For anyone over 25, it’s been years since we’ve used a college email system. The extremely small pool of dating options. You get to see 4 people daily. You can search through people if you know their league handle, but how would anyone know that unless they go to one of the events? That being said, the ultra exciting event they had listed today near me was Ukele karaoke….With two women that look like their main hobbies are brunch and mimosas. Yikes. Contrary to what they’re trying to push, NO, that does not give you more “quality matches” or interaction. For the most part a lot of these people are already on other dating apps. People fill out less pertinent info on the League than they seem to on apps like Bumble or Hinge where people tend to put in more info I’d actually be wondering about in a potential partner. I do not care about height anywhere near as much as their political viewpoints or personal interests like do they like attending museums, pets, etc. Maybe if your only interest is in dating a Christian that’s 6’ tall and lists their job and tax bracket in their dating profile, this app might yield great results. But for people looking for a partner with a little more depth…doesn’t seem like it will pan out.
  • Match Group Killed the App

This app went completely downhill once Match acquired it. On top of that the Match Group will ban your account without reason (check out the Better Businesses Bureau for Match Group, LLC) so be prepared to potentially lose your account and matches since there actions apply here too. Best use your time and resources elsewhere.
