  • A magazine pretending to be a newspaper

Recent front page articles have included baffling stories of a white rich woman that was caught in an avalanche over a year ago. This was front page news above the fold. Meanwhile we have 2 wars, and protests spreading across the US. Articles that appear in print often have been online for days. So not so much a news paper as a rehash of the website days later. I want to cancel our subscription, because I want to subscribe to quality newspaper. One day we were sent the Wall St Journal by mistake and I saw immediately what I had been missing in terms of real reporting.

On most issues of the day your paper and specifically your commentators in the op ed section are reasonable and articulate. But on issues related to Israel, antisemitism and Judaism you seem to loose your objectivity. Time and again you attribute blame on Israel or Jews. This attribute is often without fax to support your conclusions. You accept as fact statements from groups like Hamas but always question the veracity of anything coming from the Israel’s. You even have a reporter sitting that the events of October 7 were justified because Israel’s are colonizers. I will tell you that I and my family are one step away from canceling our subscription. I require a more balsnced reporting from you. Where editorial comment and fact reporting are separated.
  • The Post app stinks

The Post’s app freezes up about once every 7-8 times that I open it. I’ve deleted and re-uploaded it but it doesn’t seem to help.

App makes stories appear and disappear based on Most Read choice. That is not news, that is Social media.

Democracy dies in darkness is a phrase all your readers count on the Washington Post upholding. So far, so good! Please don't let up. There is still more investigative reporting that needs to be done because, unfortunately, there aren't enough newspapers to assist the Post & the NY Times. Please continue to keep the high journalist standards without being “handwring liberals” in continuing to cover Trump. Between the election & the court cases, I think the Post does a good job in the Trump coverage and summary of the status of the cases but you still need to call a spade a spade i.e. When Trump says “off-colored” &/or “total incoherent statements” they need to be given proper in-depth coverage. The New York times does a better job of that type of reporting, I think. Politics & the Federal Government by the Post is the best in the country by far. While the Washington Post is not perfect, given the human condition, the Washington Post is still my favorite newspaper & has been for the last 50 years. Thank you for your service, one & all.

I know I’m getting well researched and interesting articles whenever I read this paper. I never paid much attention to their slogan, Democracy dies in darkness “ but I’m paying attention now.

I am not sure what is easier to read. Columns from the Washington Post, or news announcements and tweets from the Democratic Party. There really is no difference. Over the last several years there has been a significant degradation in analysis amongst the staff. Very disappointing but I guess WaPo benchmarked with NY Times and felt they needed to be more Opinion piece.

I really like the Washington Post, but I have a problem. I generally read it on my iPhone. iPhone provides a method for changing the size of the text, but with respect to the Washington Post, I am unable to increase the size of the text sufficiently. I try making it. Try increasing the size. And I try increasing the contrast. None of the above alone or in any combination works for me.
