It’s so great to be able to make new notebooks for all my different projects. And to assign them to my team in a click of a button. Love this app!

Every time I hear of a new iPad or iPhone user, I tell them about Evernote. It truly allows you to leverage these small computers to collect, organize and find the useful information of everyday that otherwise lurks in slips of paper that would otherwise wind up crumpled in a pocket or at the bottom of a briefcase or backpack. Thanks Evernote

I started using Evernote in December of 2023 as a way to organize all my phone notes. I quickly fell in love, and now I use Evernote for everything. I currently have 29 notebooks, some I use more than others, and I have reorganized a few times. Examples of my notebooks include: *Books (I keep track of the name of the book, the author, and take a picture of the cover. I have a bad habit of forgetting what I’ve read, so this helps in conversations) *Businesses (I keep a picture of local business cards, etc… Since we only use our appliances guy every few years, I keep his card here instead of on my refrigerator) *Crochet (This is where I keep track of my crochet projects, who I gave them to, a link to the pattern, and the hook size and yarn name I used) *Health (This is where I keep a list of my prescriptions, doctor’s phone numbers, names, addresses, appointment info…) *People (This is one of my favorite sections. For pretty much anyone in my life, I make a note for that person. I put important info I might forget, pictures of gifts I gave them, birthday/anniversary info, etc…. I include colleagues, family, friends…) *Recipes ( My kitchen shelf was crowded with recipe books where I only used a few recipes, so I decided to declutter by taking pictures of the recipes and storing them here instead. Before I got rid of the book, I looked through the rest and took pictures of any other recipes I might use. This is a great place to link recipes as well) I don’t use TAGS as much anymore since there’s the search option that pulls up just about anything in my account. I use TASKS minimally. I mainly put things that need to happen far in the future but aren’t big enough for me to clutter up my phone calendar with. For example: Reminder when So&So’s kids are getting married out of state, when it’s time for me & So&So to review contract, etc…) I’m sure there are more ways to utilize Evernote, but for now this makes me happy. I hope this helps anyone who is considering switching from one note taking app to another.
  • I'm still using Evernote, and my rating for the app is better now.

4/30/2024 4 of 5 stars: I decided to become a paying customer earlier this year, although I waited for a discounted rated. $50/year seems fair to me. The current version on mobile and PC are working fine. I have thousands of notes; Evernote helps keep me organized. Search feature is valuable. I'm still fine tuning lists; I find them useful, though a re-prioritization feature would be nice. (Older Review, after initial v10 rollout, rated 1 of 5 stars): I've used and (mostIy) loved Evernote for years now on my iPod touch, Android phone, then iPhone. This new version is slow, which I can live with, but the inability to access notes w/o wifi is a killer for me. All of the sudden I have to pay $45 a year for what has been free all along? This Drug Dealer business model reflects very poorly on Evernote! I'm reverting to the previous version while I search for non-Evernote alternatives.

I need notes, lists, ideas, recipes, important documents, ticket copies, and itineraries in one place. Evernote is that place for me. I’ve become the source of schedules and meeting places for most of my groups. I use Evernote daily in a variety of ways. It is invaluable on a trip. I simply don’t keep paper notes anymore because Evernote is always with me.

I have been using Evernote for many years now through a lot of changes and upgrades. He’s accompanied me through school and way beyond. I highly recommend for anyone looking for online notebook style of application to keep track of any aspect of their lives.
  • No longer an efficient note taking app

If you want an app that isn’t intuitive or structured well, this app is for you. With each update moves from its core notebook/notes basis, making it harder with each release to navigate. This latest release implies that they will eventually eliminate Notebooks as access to then has been removed from the opening page. Yet another app driven by the greed of its owners, forgetting that its initial simplicity is what made it successful for so long.

Evernote us a waste of money. Especially since the hiked the price way up. Hard to use and hard to connect. Clip from Microsoft Email to Evernote is nowhere to be found.
  • Changing email

The app is good but as someone who has had my current account for 6 years and my past account for 5 years; Evernote refuses to provide instructions on how to change my account’s email address, I’m changing jobs and I paid out of pocket for Evernote. They simply send me instructions which don’t work and refuse to respond to follow up. Tons of lost data again. Make sure any note taking app has a straightforward export process, that will allow imports in a seamless process, and process to change email address or any contact information.

I like the new improvements but hate the loss of ability to access Evernote on my Amazon Fire tablet.
