Best sound ever. Terrible app, the Sonos amp continues to drop no matter what, the app drops out of network constantly stopping the playback. The app loses its current position while playing then you have to go back to all the playlists terrible app and terrible support

The app does not and has not functioned consistently, and now there are services for pay. I’m extremely disappointed in both the functionality of the app and the cash grab. I have over 40 speaker’s between 3 locations!

Speakers when using the TV, skip. Rediculous! Can’t play my music from purchased Apple Music via my phone. I will never buy Sonos again
  • Love the sound, tolerate the app

The sound of sonos is still great, but the app and UI/UX is terrible. Always having to force-quit the app, speakers not able to group, playlists not being able to play, recently played list of music not showing up, volume adjustments not happening on the device when controlled from the app. Lots of bugs. Not sure what happened to make it go downhill, because it used to be great. I’d look elsewhere if I was looking for a sound system.
  • Buggy software

At least have the time, the system tells me to switch to a different version of the software and, then, after the switch, it tells me to switch back, in an endless loop. This has been going on for at least half a year. Also, for unknown reasons, it will sometimes deny access to specific albums or playlists, and then not. Doesn’t play well with Eero. When it’s working, it is a good system.
  • Sonos is great if you don’t use WIFI

Sonos is only good if you have one ONE dedicated WiFi for it. Sonos WILL NOT FUNCTION if other devices are connected to your WiFi. Sonos needs to be the only thing connected to WiFi for it to work. That is disappointing since our home have televisions, computers and mobile devices connected to WiFi. You will need to hardwire Sonos to your home entertainment

The app has a particularly difficult domain space. Setting up UX is designed very elegantly and is let down by repeated failures so actually connect to a Roam and then suddenly it connects. Roams by nature don’t have rooms, but rooms are the only way to describe / name a device. Usage/ playing music is confusing with a list of streaming services to navigate first. Pandora confuses me as you get a screen with “My Stations” (or similar) and nothing else, so that’s a wasted click. I mainly use the Spotify app or Alexa as the Sonos UX is too confused and will often just hang.
