This app is a wonderland for book lovers! It has a very nicely developed interface for what readers crave and I am so happy to have added Fable to my life. One thing I would like is to be able to see my own personal stats on a book (rating and reviews, etc) right away when clicking on it. I feel like I am always searching around for my own reviews, and the current way of finding that feels clunky. But that is literally my ONLY qualm. I adore this app.

  • Bad accessibility: The text is too small

The text is too small throughout the app. If the app supported dynamic type I could adjust the size myself with the system settings, but it doesn’t. Please either support dynamic type or add your own setting for font size. This app is really obnoxious to use as-is. I mainly use an iPad mini where things ares scaled down a bit vs other iPads, but even on my phone I’d appreciate being able to adjust font size. Otherwise this app is pretty decent.
  • Too much going on.

I thought this would be a cool app for books and shows, but it’s just another place to post pictures. We already have Snapchat, instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc. let’s spend even more time on our phones and less time actually reading or watching the shows we are wanting to talk about.
  • Love it…. Wish it had more titles.

I like Nora Robert’s and there is very little titles to choose from.

Only thing I wish was that you’d be able to scan the book to add it
  • Just stick to Storygraph or other

I got tired of seeing book promo posts about how X author is “so excited to be giving away [yet another girl boss romance novel aimed at middle-age women]” and just deleted my account and removed the app. I’m just gonna stick to Storygraph or Goodreads and track my reading in peace, away from the “reading community”. There is no community; once you’ve seen the top posts 3 or 4 times you’ve seen them all. The app itself is pretty in its (exclusively) light mode and the reader profiles are cool. That’s it. I can’t even give it 3 stars in good conscience because the year is 2025 as of writing this and I just can’t believe there is no dark mode for an app. The devs say it’s a challenge, while they put up posts about how they go on walks with the team while listening to audio books and other frivolous stuff. All that said, if you do happen to be a middle-age woman who likes to read books and watch TV this app is an easy recommend.
  • PLZ update search functionality

I love everything about Fable, but the search function needs serious improvement. If I don’t type the exact book title perfectly, it either doesn’t show up at all or gives completely unrelated results. & most books don’t show up at all with a minor typo. Search results should prioritize book titles over authors IMO It’s incredibly frustrating and makes finding books harder than it should be.
  • ‼️PLEASE READ‼️

It is a great app because of many things. The organization with the books, the color, the easy access to the books. But there is one thing that made me disappointed, you have to pay for the book in order to read the full book. So if you do want to get this app just know you have to pay for the books.
