Everything is super buggy and you cannot even play your own music/podcast. they paid a bunch of influencers and I’m sure they paid for a bunch of these reviews. One place it says it’s a 60 day return policy and other places it says 30 day. i’ve emailed them multiple times and have gotten no response wanting to return it for a full refund.

This app is not user friendly and it is far too easy to turn on the light while trying to edit the setting. The edit button needs to be completely separate from the time to rise button.

I just want to be able to use my device as a basic sound machine. I want to press the touch ring, the ocean sounds goes on, press it again the ocean sound goes off. If I'm not in the room, I want to be able to use my phone. This, apparently, is very difficult or impossible because the app is too focused on being "smart" and trying to sell you paid content. I struggled for more than half an hour to try to get what I want and failed. You can't set up something this simple. You can program the touch ring only by setting up a "routine". And there is no such thing as having part of your routine be "off". On top of that, the experience of setting the device up was absurd. It failed multiple times while "registering the device" a step that inexplicably took twenty minutes (very deceptive messaging, I am sure what it is actually during "registering" is downloading and installing their firmware which must bloated beyond all reason to support all these "smart" features that I neither want nor need.) My next baby is coming in three days. I don't have the time or patience for this. The device isn't even "smart" enough to be able to handle not having your home wifi network. If you don't have Internet, you can't control it or program it. If you go to a hotel with captive wifi, as most hotels do, the device can't handle it. You can't control or program it. It becomes a useless brick. Overall I vehemently recommend against Hatch and their products for all new/expecting parents. As a new parent, the new baby will need to be the center of your universe. You want a sound machine that plays a noise when you want and then gets out of you way. That sound machine is not Hatch. Hatch wants to make *itself* the center of your universe, not your new baby. The designers at Hatch think that you want to spend hours struggling with their firmware install, and you spend hours configuring some complicated, multi-step "sleep routine" marveling at all the advanced features and paid content they have to offer.

We’ve had a pair of these for years and they work great. Over the last couple of months our Rest+ stopped following the programs we had set. We contacted customer support and they promptly worked with us to resolve the issue. Now back to great sound machines with lights that serve as great sleep aids for our kids!

Opening the app causing near instant frustration. Very limited sounds for what’s out there today. 50% chance of connecting without errors. Forcing you to experience tutorials that aren’t clear how to navigate past. Relaunching the app to navigate. Close but not quite a cigar.
