Reddit has over 100,000 online communities (forums where members post and comment) dedicated to specific topics. Some of the most popular communities are: • r/AskReddit, where users can ask and answer questions • r/funny, which is full of humorous content • r/science, for scientific discussions and news • r/gifs, with funny animated gifs for your viewing pleasure On Reddit you’ll find: • Thousands of community groups Breaking news, social media trends, sports highlights, TV fan theories, open AI discussions and personalized content, there's a community for everyone. • Loads of laughs Find memes, oddly satisfying videos, funny cat videos, and more to help you lose track of time. • AMAs, or "Ask Me Anything" Celebrities, politicians, and experts answer questions from users. • The best discussions on any topic Reddit’s discussion threads are where community members jump in with humor and insights for just about anything; pop culture, sports, entertainment, or financial advice. • Get answers to anonymous questions Ask communities anything you want. Ask questions on relationships, mental health, parenting, career help, fitness plans, and more. • Anonymous profiles so you can do YOU Connect with people about any topic, join interactive community groups or threads, and chat with other redditors, all anonymously. Voting and Karma: Instead of likes and hearts, Reddit’s social network runs on upvotes or downvotes. Voting on posts and comments increase or decrease the creator’s karma, and helps popular and relevant posts rise to the top, while filtering out low-quality or irrelevant posts. While karma doesn't directly impact your ability to use Reddit, more karma can increase posts’ visibility and help you get noticed. Some communities require karma to post or comment, which helps prevent spam or low-quality content. Got banned for “spamming” messages I can literally send screenshot proof of people asking me to send. Sending a lot of wanted messages to people who want to be messaged does not make me a spam bot, you absolute clown shoes for brains. It means I had a lot of friends and stayed social. But thanks for showing that your app is unusable for socializing. Then you try to hit me with “vote manipulation” when I made a spare account to prove that you’re manipulating my votes on my main account. Amazing how only conservative views show up with my likes but anything dissenting is immediately negated. 100% done with this propaganda fueled app. Hope someone replaces it with something better. It really won’t take much.

Annoying, wants to refresh almost every time I open the app, even if I just leave the app to check a message and come back, losing my place. Edit One year later I tried again and it's still a problem, they will never fix this. I miss Apolo
  • NO FREEDOM OF SPEECH, totally authoritarianism by mods of this app

Reddit used to be the place where mature people gathered and discussed anything and everything. There was more freedom of speech than anywhere else in world of social media. But now is totally different, now moderators of subs took over, and they delete comments for NO REASON, they mute members for NO REASON and they totally abuse with their power over the subs. So Reddit now is basically the moderators platform, and who is over the moderators??? Who controls the moderators???? They can do whatever they want to the members. This is what is taking down Reddit and what will be the end of it, and now in all the others social media apps you have freedom of speech but only on Reddit NOT! There shouldn’t be moderators anymore. The downvote button is already there, why should moderators have so much power? It’s becoming just like discord and even worse than that. Reddit should TAKE OVER THE CONTROL, and not leave it to incompetents!

Can’t us custom feeds and almost every post is a suggestion to join new subreddits. Literally can’t even see posts from subreddits that I follow

They post a video of a dog jumping a fence and timing down the road and attacking a child and the parent just shooed the dog away. I commented if that was me, my kid and my property. That dogs owner would be coming to get them to bury them. Then they banned me for threats and violence. So then why allow the post of that video of the dog threatening and showing acts of violence towards a child.
